BOTANICAL NOTES:
Osia Gideon Monograph: Listed as a basal flowering species. Bracts not woody, coriaceous. Bracts recurved, broader than 17 mm. Anterior lobe of calyx not developed, upper part of bracts puberulous; leaves glabrous and thick, only known from Jayapura Area and West Sepik.

From: Tom Wood - T. valetonii is a new species described only in Osia Gideon's PhD thesis so that it isn't an officially published name.
