BOTANICAL NOTES:
Osia Gideon Monograph: Listed as a terminal flowering species with recurved bracts, dark red, aging grey to black, apex obtuse or rounded-apiculate, margins toward apex not inflexed. Bract apex rounded-apiculate, pungent; margins toward apex sometimes inflexed, only known from southern New Guinea, from Mimmika in Iran Jaya to Western PNG.
