GOOGLE PHOTO ALBUM SYNONYMS: BOTANICAL NOTES: T. densus (densum) is not listed in the key to species by Osia Gideon. He may have considered it a synonym for another species name. There seems to be some confusion between T. densum and T. hollrungii. The cultivated plant found under this name is a terminal flowering Tapeinochilos. NOTE: After reviewing the information I have found on the Lyon PDF file by Ray Baker and reconsidering the exclusion of this species name by Dr. Gideon, I have transferred all my images of T. densum to T. hollrungii which I now believe to be the correct identification of the plant I received tagged as T. densum. Note that some of my photos appear to have more reddish colored bracts as noted by Dr. Gideon in his description of T. hollrungii. I am retaining the notations below (Horticultural Notes) because this plant is very popular under the name T. densum.
