This beautiful form of the pubescent, C. laevis was found along the old Loja road at about 1600 meters near where the old and new roads meet.

The leaves of these plants were quite variable on the upper sides, most of them either glabrous or a bit scabrous like this one.

This yellow beauty was found at the upper part of the Quebrada Cuzuntza at 1432 meters.
