Costus 'Reina Rosada' - found in the El Zarza area of the Cord. del Condor. The upper leaves partially sheath the inflorescence but the bracts were green more like C. amazonicus. The plant tall and appearing more like the pubescent form of C. laevis.

Believed to be a natural hybrid of Costus amazonicus with the pubescent form of Costus laevis - both of which were found nearby.

The bract margins are fibrous (from C. amazonicus)
