NOTES AND DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS:Described by Rosemary Smith in Flora of Australia. She distinguishes this from C. speciosus by its yellow, rather than white flowers, and a smaller labellum. Maas maintains that this is not a separate species but a form of C. speciosus.
NATURAL DISTRIBUTION:Queensland, Australia - around Rockingham Bay and on the islands of Torres Strait, found only on coastal lowlands in high rainfall country.
