NOTES AND DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS:Described and named by Maas in 1976. Related to C. chartaceous and C. plicatus, some variation in specimens.
NATURAL DISTRIBUTION:Only in El Valle, Colombia, secondary lowland forest along the road Cali Buenaventura, near km 85.
