DESCRIPTION:
This accession collected from atop a large boulder at edge of Pacific Ocean beach. Plant grows to 1.5 meters tall, sheath, ligules and upper side of leaves are glabrous, lower side of leaves is velutinous. Ligule 2 mm long. Inflorescence terminal on leafy stem, bracts red covered part with long triangular green leafy appendages. Flower is tubular and all yellow.
