The Genus Globba in Thailand and Indo-China - Mark Newman (Speaker)
Dr. Newman has examined herbarium specimens of Globba in European herbaria and found them lacking in sufficient preservation of the floral parts to be very useful. He believes when his studies are completed that the number of unique species of Globba will be substantially decreased - that there is much synonymetry in the systematics of the genus. He also noted that Globba schomburgkii can look very different at different stages in its maturity.
