Systematics of the Genus Globba - Kyle J. Williams (Speaker), W. John Kress, & Paul S. Manos
Mr. Williams has been studying Globba species and has determined that the most important characteristics to distinguish the species is the number of anther appendages - none, 2 lower, 2 upper, or 4 appendages. It is also useful to observe whether the flower bracts are deciduous or persistent. He is also conducting phylogenetic studies on the genus and will propose that the sections of Globba be increased from 3 to 7.
