Named and introduced by Dave Skinner. 'Purple Passion' is similar to 'Pink Lips' except that the undersides of the leaves and the ligules are a deep purple color. The plant grows to about 1 meter high with a strong spiral shape, vegetative parts are glabrous, ligule deep purple, truncate, 5 mm long.
