I have found that most of the names of Costus at Aloha Tropicals are either misspelled or completely wrong in the identification. Regardless it is a beautiful plant form and deserves a cultivar name. Since using the word "barbatus" in a cultivar name is non-compliant with ISHS rules, I posted on a Facebook groups Planet Heliconia-Ginger a name-that-cultivar contest and the winner was 'Dwarf Star'.
