Osia Gideon Monograph: Listed as a basal flowering species. Bracts thick and woody. Bract apex strongly recurved (35°-50° ), flowers 52-79 mm long; bracts pubescent or glabrous, scape usually short (<10 mm long) and thick.From: "Michael Pascall" - Today I spent a pleasant time wandering the Flecker Botanical Gardens in Tropical Cairns and visiting some old nurserys , like Limberlost that was established over 40 years ago . So many fantastic plants !! A very impressive Tapienochilus pubescens at Flecker Botanic Gardens .
